Fort Point and Henhouse have announced that they are merging. It’s unclear the exact terms, and while they say that things will not change, Fort Point will be closing their production brewery in the Presidio in San Francisco. Overall, they state that nothing will change about the beers. We continue to see some of the darling of the craft beer scene in the bay area in the early 2000s start to merge or close. The industry is changing rapidly — and there’s a stark difference between “new beer” and these 20 year “old beer” breweries in both style and how they appeal to the younger drinkers.
